Virginia Licensed Utilization Review RN

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Utilization Review Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilizes management techniques to assess the medical necessity and efficiency of healthcare services
• Collaborates with healthcare teams to manage patient care and resolve barriers to care progression
• Monitors performance indicators and supports continuous improvement in care delivery

Required Qualifications:

• BSN from an accredited nursing school; ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical bedside nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required upon start
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in RN utilization review and advanced computer skills
