US Pharmacist

Remote VA PH is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy, expertise in medications (including dosages, directions, and side effects), billing, and prior experience working with pharmaceuticals.

Work Schedule: 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST (Monday - Friday), FULLY-REMOTE

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and ensure adherence to all pharmacy regulations.
• Provide professional advice to customers about medications, including usage instructions, dosages, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Guide patients in the proper use of inhalers, injectables, and other medical devices.
• Counsel customers on over-the-counter products, including allergies, infections, and injuries.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory of medications, ensuring the availability of essential items.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the best treatment outcomes for patients.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in medications, treatments, and pharmacy practices.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, including proper handling of controlled substances.

• Proven work experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledgeable in pharmaceuticals, preferably with US-Based experience.
• Well-versed in reading and billing prescriptions.
• Strong knowledge of medications, dosages, and pharmacy practices.
• Experience with patient counseling on specialized medical devices like inhalers and injectables.
• Familiarity with health concerns specific to farming communities, such as pesticide exposure, minor injuries, and respiratory conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and guide customers.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage inventory efficiently.
