Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Security Engineer to support fact-based journalism by safeguarding its infrastructure, systems, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and implement cybersecurity solutions and automate security tools
• Partner with teams to ensure secure design and operation in cloud-based products
• Investigate and respond to security events and monitor cybersecurity trends

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Experience with enterprise security tools (EDR, SIEM, CSPM, WAF)
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent real-world experience
