Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer, App Security to join their Platform Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure coding standards and tooling for application-layer security
• Conduct threat modeling, secure design reviews, and manage vulnerability reports
• Lead code reviews, internal audits, and contribute to the secure development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application or product security roles, preferably in cloud-native environments
• Deep understanding of web application security and common vulnerabilities
• Strong background in secure software development practices, especially with frameworks like GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, or React
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and security tooling
• Familiarity with healthcare-specific security practices and compliance audits is a bonus
