Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior or Staff-level Application Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture and threat modeling for high-impact features and services
• Perform security-focused code reviews and guide development teams in remediation practices
• Build and maintain automated security testing and developer enablement tooling

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of AppSec or product security experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role
• Proven experience in leading security reviews and threat modeling in production environments
• Deep knowledge of common vulnerabilities and mitigations (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
• Experience with security tools and libraries (SAST, DAST, etc.) and proficiency in a modern programming language
• Strong understanding of cloud-native environments and securing CI/CD pipelines
