Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, distributed backend systems in Golang
• Partner with PMs and EMs to deliver backend capabilities that enhance product experiences
• Improve the scalability, reliability, and observability of backend systems, including the sending pipeline

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer in established, production codebases
• Expertise in Golang, with working knowledge of Ruby
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and experience with resilient, observable backend services
• Strong working knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Proficiency with AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in your workflow
