Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Backend Engineer to analyze, design, build, monitor, and optimize backend systems for open source software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems for dependency resolution algorithms and model dependency data
• Support new languages and systems while optimizing existing systems
• Manage complexity in modeling the open source ecosystem and orchestrate whole-project builds from source code

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional programming experience in modern imperative languages (e.g., Python or Go)
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent
• Professional experience designing, writing, and using web APIs (JSON and REST required)
• Experience creating and maintaining complex software systems and designing non-trivial applications
• Backend development experience, including SQL and database integration
