Senior Engineer I

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer I: Fleet Kernel.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize kernels for performance and resiliency across the fleet for storage, networking, and virtualization
• Diagnose and resolve kernel issues, delivering critical fixes and security mitigations
• Implement monitoring and alerting of key metrics to enhance compute infrastructure resiliency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Broad knowledge of the Linux kernel and kernel subsystems
• Demonstrated experience with kernel patching and debugging
• Proficient in C/C++ programming and one or more scripting languages
• Experience with Linux virtualization using KVM and QEMU
