Senior Environmental Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Senior Officer - Environmental (Retainer) to support biodiversity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying gaps in countries' biodiversity action plans and improve implementation efficiency
• Support the preparation of high-quality reports and coordinate training sessions for national capacities
• Facilitate connections with regional cooperation support centers and engage with national technical teams for tailored assistance

Required Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (Master's) in a relevant field with 2 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience
• Experience in international environmental policy, natural resource management, or related fields
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional UN languages is an advantage
• Strong understanding of biodiversity and sustainable development goals
• Experience in project management and capacity-building initiatives is preferred
