Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Gameplay Systems Engineer on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems using Flecs ECS and StateTree in Unreal Engine 5
- Refactor and stabilize existing MVP systems, resolving crashes and performance issues
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure systems are usable and intuitive
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in gameplay or systems engineering roles on Unreal projects
- Deep familiarity with Flecs ECS or equivalent data-oriented frameworks
- Strong working knowledge of StateTree and gameplay state machines
- Proficiency in C++, particularly within Unreal Engine's gameplay architecture
- Ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team
