Senior Mechanical Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to design reactor core components and structures for advanced nuclear reactors.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate engineering input into equipment and component design solutions
• Create detailed engineering models, drawings, and specifications
• Mentor junior designers and coordinate work with subcontractors

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the nuclear sector
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD systems
• Deep understanding of GD&T and experience with tolerance stack ups
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Experience with CAD data management (PDM) is preferred
