Key Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up activities on patient accounts to resolve unpaid balances
- Research accounts and communicate with payors and patients to obtain necessary information
- Assist in training new staff and support team members with backlogs or absences
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2-5 years of experience in medical/hospital insurance collections
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
- Intermediate knowledge of insurance billing and collections terminology
- Minimum typing requirement of 45 words per minute
