Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer: Storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve multiple production Ceph clusters, including hardware design and network requirements
• Create efficient APIs for live-migrations of stateful workloads between hosts
• Design and build API and orchestration services to connect storage primitives to higher-level features

Required Qualifications

• Experience architecting and implementing distributed systems
• Production experience with distributed block device systems or understanding of network storage cluster design
• Familiarity with current generation filesystems (Ext4, ZFS, BTRFS) and next-gen filesystems (EROFS, bcachefs)
• Ability to implement solutions and document requirements for future reference
• Experience in navigating ambiguity in an early-stage startup environment
