Senior Security Controls Assessor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Security Controls Assessor to support a high-visibility federal program focused on strengthening cybersecurity and privacy posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security and privacy control assessments for various systems, including cloud-based environments
• Implement risk management processes using NIST frameworks to ensure compliance with federal standards
• Establish continuous monitoring strategies to provide situational awareness of cybersecurity and privacy risks

Required Qualifications

• Seven (7) + years of relevant cybersecurity experience
• Degree in a cyber-related field or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience with security and privacy control assessments for federal information systems
• Deep understanding of NIST RMF processes and hands-on application across assessment lifecycles
• Proven ability to develop and manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and track risk remediation efforts
