Senior Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Data Engineer - Cloud Analytics & FinOps Engineering Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data warehousing solutions for cost and usage analytics across multiple cloud environments
• Serve as the primary FinOps engineering contact, translating functional requirements into technical specifications and collaborating with engineering teams
• Build and optimize data ingestion connectors and query engines for complex analytics workloads while ensuring data quality and governance

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in distributed data systems and cloud-native architecture
• Proven experience building data warehousing solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure with hybrid cloud integration
• Expert-level proficiency with modern data stack technologies such as dbt, Trino/Presto, and Apache Airflow
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and SQL with experience in data pipeline development
