Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Underwriter - Major Accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and clarify group health application information from various stakeholders
• Perform risk appraisals and evaluate group risk for health insurance prospects and renewals
• Calculate and negotiate rates and premium charges for group health insurance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of experience in Stop Loss Underwriting, Financial Underwriting, Actuarial, or Financial Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of contracts, products, networks, underwriting, billing, claims processing, and broker distribution systems
• Experience in managing an assigned book of Major Accounts and pitching products
