Job Summary
A company is looking for a Federal Cost Analyst to support government contracting operations within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support proper allocation of costs and labor in compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and analyze cost variances between budget and actuals
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations and internal reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
- Cost analysis or government contract accounting experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced) and familiar with accounting software/ERP systems
- Experience with government contracting tools and portals is preferred
- Skilled in preparing audit-ready documentation and financial summaries using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
