Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel to join their legal team, focusing on product counseling and supporting commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise product and engineering teams throughout the product development cycle, identifying legal risks and providing solutions
• Lead commercial contracting activities, drafting and negotiating complex contracts while managing legal risks
• Partner with security functions on data privacy and security issues, shaping internal policies for compliance

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of legal experience, with a mix of law-firm and in-house experience in product and commercial matters
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in the relevant state bar
• In-depth knowledge of product counseling, commercial contracting, AI, and privacy regulatory frameworks
• Ability to independently manage a complex workload and collaborate across functions
• A proactive mindset with a focus on adaptability and a solutions-oriented approach
