Subject Matter Expert in PLA

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Prior Learning Assessment (PLA Course).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a 3-credit PLA course, including outcomes, modules, and assessments
• Create or curate instructional content that guides students through reflection, documentation, and portfolio preparation
• Collaborate with instructional designers to ensure pedagogical soundness and online delivery best practices

Required Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Education, Adult Learning, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in Prior Learning Assessment or adult learning theory
• Experience designing or teaching PLA or portfolio-based courses preferred
• Curriculum design experience and familiarity with implementation of principles of backward design
• Technical skill in generating and editing graphics/images
