Telecommunications Planner III

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Planner III to manage netbuild documentation and tasks related to optical transport network planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute comprehensive netbuild packages for new Ciena NGO DWDM route builds
• Execute planning tasks from the Metro Tactical work queue to ensure timely and accurate responses
• Plan and implement strategies for decommissioning legacy equipment with minimal service impact

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in optical transport network planning focused on DWDM technologies
• Strong familiarity with the Ciena NGO platform; experience with legacy systems preferred
• Solid understanding of DWDM architecture and transport design principles
• Experience in designing shelf/card configurations and node insertions
