Texas Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist II who will perform intermediate level billing responsibilities under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve coding edits for various medical services and procedures
• Perform monthly charge reconciliation and manual charge entry for non-automated sites
• Assist in obtaining insurance authorizations and maintain accurate authorization records

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of medical billing or collections experience
• Coding certifications (CPC, CPMA, CMC, ART, RRA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA) preferred
• Knowledge of carrier regulations and internal revenue cycle coding processes
• Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid billing rules
