Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Residential Underwriter (Coastal Texas).

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and issue new business and renewal quotes while reviewing applications for compliance with underwriting guidelines
• Build and manage agent relationships, providing customer service and monitoring account performance
• Contribute to team objectives by preparing reports, assisting with system testing, and mentoring colleagues

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 2-4 years of post-secondary education and 2+ years of insurance experience required
• 4+ years of post-secondary education and 5+ years of commercial property underwriting experience preferred
• Pursuit of industry-relevant continuing education is required
• Current 2-20, AU, and/or CPCU designation is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of underwriting guidelines and commercial lines products
