Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter for Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans and various other loan types, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Maintain communication with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan statuses and conditions
• Assist in training and support for other mortgage positions and manage underwriting resources

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Experience with Texas loans and valid CHUMS and LAPP/SAR designations for FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience underwriting FHA and VA loans
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input and interpretation
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
