Transmission Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Transmission & Interconnection Engineer - Battery Storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct steady state power transmission system analysis and manage generator interconnection processes across ISOs/RTOs
• Develop and validate power system models for BESS generation plants and ensure compliance with grid requirements
• Perform technical due diligence and provide solutions for transmission and distribution interconnection issues

Required Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS in electrical engineering; a master's degree is preferred
• Two to five years of professional experience in the power and energy industry, with a focus on electrical systems
• Proficiency in power system modeling software: PSCAD, PSLF, PSSE
• Strong subject matter expertise in organized markets other than ERCOT
• Demonstrated experience with inverter-based plant modeling and power flow analyses
