Job Summary
A company is looking for a Variant Scientist II to join its team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform variant interpretation and generate clinical reports using an in-house genetic evidence system
- Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources, including literature and patient records
- Develop and curate genetic content for a range of genetic disorders to support clinical offerings
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Genetics/Molecular Genetics/Human Genetics) with no experience, or
- Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in Genetics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant variant interpretation experience
- Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory is preferred
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing and genetic variant curation is advantageous
