Variant Scientist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Variant Scientist II to join its team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform variant interpretation and generate clinical reports using an in-house genetic evidence system
• Analyze and interpret clinical and genetic information from various sources, including literature and patient records
• Develop and curate genetic content for a range of genetic disorders to support clinical offerings

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Genetics/Molecular Genetics/Human Genetics) with no experience, or
• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Bachelor's degree in Genetics or related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant variant interpretation experience
• Experience in a CLIA diagnostic laboratory is preferred
• Familiarity with next-generation sequencing and genetic variant curation is advantageous
