As an IT Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's IT infrastructure's stability, security, and efficiency. You will be responsible for supporting and optimizing a range of IT systems and services, providing advanced technical support, and actively contributing to IT projects and process improvements. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Technical Support: Provide second-line support for escalated issues, resolving complex hardware, software, and network problems for end-users.
- Network Management: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Security & Compliance: Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices, monitor for security incidents, and help enforce IT policies and compliance standards.
- Project Participation: Collaborate with [ORG's team members on system upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new technologies.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and create user guides to empower staff with best practices in IT usage and security awareness.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance IT services, automate routine tasks, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Management: Deploy, monitor, and maintain virtual machines and cloud-based services across platforms like Hetzner, DigitalOcean, and local providers (e.g., Iran-based hosts like Mizbanfa, ParsOnline, or similar). Ensure proper DNS, backups, and resource scaling are in place.
- Server Room & Power Systems Maintenance: Oversee the setup and regular maintenance of the server room, including UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, and structured cabling. Conduct periodic health checks and enforce physical infrastructure best practices.
- Wireless & Network Equipment Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain wireless access points, manage signal coverage and bandwidth optimization, and secure Wi-Fi networks in high-traffic environments.
- Advanced Network Device Configuration: Manage and configure routers and managed switches (e.g., Cisco, MikroTik), including VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and performance tuning.
- Firewall & Network Security Management: Administer firewall solutions such as FortiGate, MikroTik, or software-based tools to secure internal infrastructure. Monitor for threats and ensure segmentation and access control.
- Enterprise Software Support: Provide installation and operational support for finance-related software solutions like Sepidar or other localized accounting platforms.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems, and macOS.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and typical enterprise applications.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A customer-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+/Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco) are preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Workspace) is desirable.
- Hands-on experience managing VMs and cloud infrastructure on Hetzner, DigitalOcean, and other hosting providers.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, UPS, and generator operations in a data center or server room context.
- Working knowledge of configuring wireless network environments, including controller-based APs and centralized management.
- Strong ability to configure advanced network equipment such as L3 switches, routers, and VLAN trunking.
- Experience supporting localized financial systems like Sepidar or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
- Awareness of operational and security best practices in environments handling physical currency and digital assets.
- Experience working in fintech, currency exchange (physical or digital), or high-security financial environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, compliance-sensitive settings involving cash, crypto wallets, and transaction-based systems.
