A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep 1.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors
- Communicate with internal teams and external customers to resolve outstanding claims and validate information
- Maintain documentation of billing activities and comply with Key Performance Indicators for assigned payers
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
- Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
- Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Ability to read and interpret documents related to billing and insurance
