Billing Follow Up Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to resolve outstanding claims and validate information
• Maintain documentation of billing activities and comply with Key Performance Indicators for assigned payers

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment
• Basic keyboarding proficiency and ability to operate relevant software systems
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Ability to read and interpret documents related to billing and insurance
