Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Manager to support a team in achieving high-quality DRG validation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit leadership and mentor team members to ensure high-quality work and production
• Monitor performance, assist with quality improvement, and ensure timely review of priority cases
• Provide education and training to team members, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations

Required Qualifications

• National certification as RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS; ICD-10 specialized training is highly recommended
• Minimum of five to seven years of hospital inpatient coding experience or two years in DRG validation
• Proven self-direction in planning and executing DRG validation and recovery functions
• Demonstrated exemplary professional coding judgment and effective staff supervision
• Ability to maintain ethical standards and demonstrate leadership in achieving team objectives
