Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coding Quality Documentation Specialist to ensure the accuracy and compliance of medical coding and provider documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of charges to validate coding accuracy and recommend process improvements
- Evaluate medical records to ensure accurate documentation and support appropriate coding assignments
- Provide education and feedback to providers and coding personnel on documentation standards and practices
Required Qualifications
- Nationally recognized coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) is required
- Minimum of 5 years of specialty-specific coding experience, with at least 1 year in a senior auditing role preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking
- Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with medical coding software and audit reporting tools
