Certified Coding Quality Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Quality Documentation Specialist to ensure the accuracy and compliance of medical coding and provider documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of charges to validate coding accuracy and recommend process improvements
• Evaluate medical records to ensure accurate documentation and support appropriate coding assignments
• Provide education and feedback to providers and coding personnel on documentation standards and practices

Required Qualifications

• Nationally recognized coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA) is required
• Minimum of 5 years of specialty-specific coding experience, with at least 1 year in a senior auditing role preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with medical coding software and audit reporting tools
