Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility-based HIMS Coding Quality Associate.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on coding and billing, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Conduct audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance for reimbursement
• Act as a knowledge resource for coding practices and assist in training staff on coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of recent experience in acute-care inpatient facility-based medical coding
• Experience with DRG and PCS coding, as well as auditing
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• Thorough knowledge of ICD coding and DRG/CPT coding principles
