Job Summary

A company is looking for a Java Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity protections for legacy medical devices and interconnected applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in development efforts, perform code reviews, and adhere to best practices
• Streamline development workflows and modernize existing codebases
• Manage and deploy patches in compliance with VA release protocols

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline preferred
• 3 to 5 years of experience in development or technical environments
• Proficient in Java coding and process improvement methodologies
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Experience with tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and GitHub
