CPA Lead Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Accountant Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full cycle of accounting and reporting activities, including month-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations, specifically for the Payroll accounting group
• Lead and train the Payroll accounting team while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of six years of progressive accounting experience, including financial operations and general ledger month-end close
• United States citizenship required
• CPA certification preferred or in progress
• Experience in federal government contracting environments is a plus
