FHA/VA Government Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (FHA/VA).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and requirements
• Assist with training and provide leadership in underwriting resources and credit policy execution

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of government underwriting experience
• Must possess valid CHUMS and/or LAPP/Sar designations for FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience with USDA and Bond underwriting is highly preferred
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
• Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
