Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, Professional Billing Coding Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational functions of the Professional Coding Operations team, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with guidelines
• Supervise and mentor coding staff, providing training and feedback based on performance and coding updates
• Analyze coding denials and trends, collaborating with stakeholders to improve coding practices and resolve issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification required
• Minimum of five years of coding experience in an acute care hospital, with at least three years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions, as well as experience with claim edits and denials
• Extensive knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies and health records systems
