DE/SAR Licensed Government Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter in the Northeast.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans and potentially other loan types including Jumbo, Non-QM, and USDA
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status
• Maintain current knowledge of products and assist in training other mortgage positions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Must possess valid CHUMS and/or LAPP/SAR for FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience underwriting Jumbo and Non-QM loans preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input
• Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
