CPA Accounting Policy Leader

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SVP, Accounting Policy Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise accounting policies in accordance with various reporting standards
• Serve as the primary technical accounting advisor for complex transactions and monitor new accounting standards
• Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure accounting policy alignment and oversee the preparation of technical accounting documentation

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or a similar discipline
• Internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA) with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Deep expertise in re/insurance financial reporting across multiple bases, including U.S. GAAP and Bermuda statutory standards
• Demonstrated progressive leadership experience and success in cross-functional collaboration
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems
