Embedded Software Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Embedded Software Architect (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trade studies to evaluate options for adding functionality to existing flight computers without new hardware
• Analyze system architecture and software containers to identify integration paths and provide recommendations to the U.S. Air Force
• Ensure compliance with safety partitioning standards and document findings with multiple solution paths

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in safety partitioning and DO-178C or similar safety-critical software standards
• Deep understanding of multicore processor architectures and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience with Linux and VxWorks in embedded or avionics environments
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance
• Prior experience supporting Air Force, DoD, or aerospace OEMs
