Engineering Manager, Massachusetts

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager for its Platform Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on player-coach, contributing technically while mentoring team members
• Manage a remote team of 3-5 Platform Engineers and assist in their personal development
• Participate in system design discussions and improve engineering-wide processes

Required Qualifications

• Experience leading infrastructure projects focused on Kubernetes-based platforms
• Proven track record in coaching and developing Site Reliability or Platform Engineers
• Experience in developing engineering-wide processes
• Technical expertise in Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to explore new workflows
