Facility Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility Inpatient Coder to join their remote team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, APR-DRG, POA, and discharge status codes based on medical record review
• Evaluate physician documentation and initiate queries when clarification is needed
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality benchmarks

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent (preferred)
• 3+ years of facility inpatient (DRG) coding experience
• Active credential: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS (AHIMA)
