Fiber Test Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fiber Test Engineer to perform fiber characterization tests using industry-standard test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fiber characterization tests using OTDR, CD/PMD, power meter/laser source, and fiber end face testing
• Splice or re-splice problematic fiber strands and clean fiber end faces using multiple methods
• Provide field analysis and prepare testing packages, including redlining project documentation and managing project field documentation

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 3+ years of experience in the Telecom Industry
• Ability to test with OTDR
• Experience with inside and outside plant (ISP and OSP)
• Proficiency in fiber network troubleshooting
