Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiates contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and gather patient billing information
- Accurately estimates patient financial liability and processes payments
- Ensures pre-certification authorization is in place prior to service and refers patients as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
- Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is required
- Associate degree or higher is preferred
- Knowledge of third-party collections and reimbursement is preferred
