Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiates contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and gather patient billing information
  • Accurately estimates patient financial liability and processes payments
  • Ensures pre-certification authorization is in place prior to service and refers patients as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
  • Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is required
  • Associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Knowledge of third-party collections and reimbursement is preferred
