FIPS Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a FIPS Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct product security assessments under the direction of the lead tester
• Analyze customer requirements and maintain communication regarding assessment status
• Independently perform various testing activities including algorithm generation, compliance analysis, and physical testing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a CST validation laboratory or relevant knowledge
• Meets IAT Level I position requirements as defined in DoD 8570.01-M, including relevant certifications
• Two years of direct experience with IT products and networking, and one year with IT product security assessments
• Strong knowledge of FIPS and IT security concepts
