Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Informatics Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate research topics and develop computational methods to address challenges in the Medicare and health insurance sector
• Design, test, and evaluate algorithms and machine learning models for health data analysis and predictive modeling
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research findings into practical solutions and present recommendations to management

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
• Minimum two years of experience in the Medicare space with algorithm and machine learning model development
• Experience in querying and interpreting large healthcare datasets such as claims and Electronic Health Records
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, and DOMO for data visualization and reporting
• Knowledge of Medicare and HIPAA regulations, healthcare data standards, and insurance processes
