Health Informatics Research Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Informatics Research Scientist to innovate and create computational methods in the Medicare and health insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate research topics and develop algorithms and data models for health data analysis and decision-support systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate research findings into practical solutions
• Analyze clinical, claims, and operational data to identify trends and support evidence-based decision-making

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
• Minimum two years' experience in the Medicare space with algorithm and machine learning model creation
• Experience with querying and interpreting large healthcare datasets
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, and DOMO for data visualization and reporting
• Knowledge of Medicare and HIPAA regulations, healthcare data standards, and insurance processes
