Job Summary

A company is looking for a Home Equity Underwriting Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate underwriting authority and assist with the review and approval process for complex mortgage loan cases
• Train, coach, and lead the Underwriting team to meet production and quality goals while adhering to company policies
• Build relationships across operations and sales teams, maintaining guidelines based on GSE and investor requirements

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of mortgage underwriting experience
• 3+ years of experience leading a Mortgage Underwriting Team
• Current knowledge of federal, state, and FDIC regulations related to real estate lending
• Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products and industry trends
• Technical proficiency with computer systems, including Encompass and Microsoft Office applications
