Information Architect (Michigan)

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information Architect (Taxonomist).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine structured taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and metadata schemas for internal content and data management
• Collaborate with data analytics teams, SMEs, and other stakeholders to implement and maintain a cohesive taxonomy and metadata framework
• Propose enhancements to integrate taxonomy and metadata strategies into the current content management system

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in creating and maintaining enterprise taxonomies and metadata
• Background in information science, information architecture, or library science
• Experience with data modeling to create logical structures for information
• Experience training stakeholders on taxonomy processes and managing change related to information architecture
• Experience with Smartlogic or similar taxonomy tools (e.g., Pool Party) preferred
