Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor (PRN).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient coding audits and review services for client sites remotely
• Identify trends from audit findings and recommend corrective action plans
• Provide in-service education and assist in designing educational seminars for clients

Required Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• 3-5 years of experience in inpatient facility audits and coding
• Initiative to conduct research to maintain knowledge and skills
• Ability to remain impartial and objective in audit findings
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with audit software and HIPAA compliance
