Intellectual Property Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Intellectual Property Counsel to provide comprehensive IP counseling services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level IP counseling and support procurement of IP rights for business units and R&D groups
• Conduct patent and trademark research, coordinate filings, and manage outside counsel for patent applications
• Prepare and review agreements, conduct IP training, and ensure compliance with product regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IP and product-related legal matters, including patent preparation and prosecution
• J.D. degree and membership in good standing with at least one state bar; registration to practice before the USPTO
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry, or a similar discipline preferred
• Demonstrated integrity, business acumen, and strategic thinking in IP initiatives
• Experience in compliance and regulatory matters is preferred
