Lead Coding Services Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coding Services Auditor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct prebill and retrospective audits to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory standards
• Mentor and onboard new staff while providing expert feedback and education on coding practices
• Produce and maintain detailed reports and data logs for auditing purposes

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management, Business, or a related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Certification in Coding or Health Information Management preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Coding Auditor role or 3 years of hospital-based inpatient auditing experience
• Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding practices
• Proficient in various healthcare software systems, including EPIC and Vizient
