Job Summary

A company is looking for a Light Gauge Steel Truss Designer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design light gauge steel roof and floor truss systems using industry-standard software
• Read and interpret architectural and structural plans
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and production teams to ensure accuracy and manufacturability

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cold-formed steel or light gauge truss design
• Proficiency with relevant design software, preferably Alpine TruSteel
• Strong understanding of framing systems, connection details, and structural load paths
• Ability to work from construction documents and develop clear, buildable shop drawings
• Experience in a truss or wall panel manufacturing environment is a bonus
